Cal Youth Programs take place across a variety of fields and facilities across the UC Berkeley campus and in the local Berkeley area.
The Rec Sports Customer Service Center is the place to go for membership sales, passport services — yes, we’re an official passport distributor — and information about all of our classes, camps and other program offerings. You can find it on the right when you first enter the RSF.
The Golden Bear Recreation Center, on the Clark Kerr Campus, is home to our Archery Camp, Blue Camp, Gymnastics Camps and Classes, Skateboarding Camp, and Social Skills Camps.
The Lawrence Hall of Science is UC Berkeley’s public science center and a destination for science fun for more than 40 years. The center features a number of ongoing exhibits and hosts the science portion of our Science & Sport Camp.
The UC Aquatic Center is home to Cal Adventures summer camps,including: Adventure Paddling, Afternoon Adventures, Discovery Camp, Rock Climbing, Sailing, Sea Kayaking, and Windsurfing.
The Recreational Sports Facility is a complete fitness center with over 100,000 square feet of activity space, including an Olympic-sized swimming pool, 3 weight rooms, and much more. All martial arts camps are held here.
The Strawberry Canyon Recreation Area (SCRA) features an outdoor swimming pool (closed in winter), a ropes course, picnic area and more. It is home to our Explorer Camp, the afternoon portion of our Science and Sports Camp for campers in grades 1-3, and Swimming Lessons.
Point Richmond’s Washington Elementary School serves as the home to the Academic Talent Development Program (ADTP).
