Cal Women’s Squash is recognized as the first women’s squash club team at a public University.
The Cal Women’s Squash team was established in 2008 as the first women’s squash club team at a public university on the West Coast and has grown immensely ever since. They are currently recognized as a member of the College Squash Association (CSA) and compete in the CSA National Team Championship annually.
Although the team remains to be a club team, they are a competitive team that plays tournaments against other schools. Each year they travel once to the East coast to play qualification matches in order to qualify for the annual CSA Team National Championship.
