Randy gets it. He knows how important and hard it is to change bad habits. A former two-pack-a-day smoker, Randy is now an avid cyclist, runner, and exerciser. He has participated in the AIDS/LifeCycle three times, has done a couple of double centuries (200-mile bike rides in one day) and loves to participate in marathons and trail runs. In the gym, he gravitates to body-weight exercises and is a huge fan of TRX.
Randy is a NASM-certified personal trainer and has led a number of small group training sessions — charting a healthy exercise course with groups consisting of three to five people. He leads boot camp classes, been active in the WorkFit U program and teaches indoor cycling at the RSF and at various locations.
Randy seeks out new challenges, and is always on the hunt for a nearby century ride. He is planning on going after the triple crown this year — three double centuries in one season. In his other career, Randy is a part-time film critic for the San Jose Mercury News, Oakland Tribune and Contra Costa Times. He is an avid reader, and usually has a playlist featuring a song or two from a new movie.
Whether you’re embarking on a new exercise odyssey or want to fine-tune/jazz up an existing one, Randy would be thrilled to help give you the tools and resources to achieve those healthy goals. Randy believes exercise should be safe, effective and produce results. And, especially, a lot of fun!
