Always searching for new challenges, Karina self-coached and completed her first triathlon ever at the Oakland Triathlon Festival 2017, fell in love with the sport, continued competing, and with only 2 years of experience and the help of her team, PacWest Endurance, she has competed in National Championships and qualified and represented Triathlon Team USA 2019 at the ITU World Championships in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Experience
Karina has training experience with triathletes, runners, endurance athletes, MMA fighters, Ninja Warriors, postpartum women, core strength, and bootcamp. She has led a number of small group outdoor and indoor strength bootcamps with groups consisting of 3-5 people ranging from ages 35-85 years old from all fitness levels including triathletes to people becoming a physical injury. Karina also leads track practices and indoor cycling classes and has worked teaching and guiding clients through rehabilitation exercises.
Interests
Karina is working towards becoming a professional triathlete and hopes to one day go to the Olympics. Aside from training and coaching, Karina enjoys traveling, watching cooking and fitness shows, learning new things, trying new sports or activities that challenge her physically and mentally.
Personal Philosophy
Confidence, fearlessness, healthy body image, and self love are all qualities that Karina acquired as a result of being active in sports and what motivated her to attain her Personal Trainer Certification to help people overcome life challenges and regain self-love as they become the “truest highest expression” of themselves through exercise. Karina believes that fitness and health is not a destination you can arrive at or something you can check off and think you are finished. Health and fitness goals one sets can be achieved through desire, determination, commitment, consistency, passion and motivation. Karina believes health and fitness is a way of life. It is something we constantly have to work at and something we cannot live without.
