Strength Training

Strength training can have tremendous benefits for your health. It has been shown to benefit cardiovascular health, bone strength, and balance in addition to encouraging weight loss.

Strength Training

If you are ready to start strength training, don’t miss this course. This introductory course will teach you proper lifting techniques, basic exercises for each muscle group, human anatomy as it relates to your workout goals, and how to structure your workouts to reach your goal. To meet social distancing requirements, this class will be taught through Zoom meetings. The instructor will provide the Zoom meeting link prior to the start of each session. Please provide a current email address when registering.  Equipment needs: Dumbbells and Resistance Bands. No sessions during Thanksgiving Week.

Staying fit, healthy, and active through your life is key to ensuring vitality.  Strength Training 50+ Fitness is designed to promote an active and healthy lifestyle at an older age. Get stronger, learn better ways to take care of yourself, and find peace of mind participating in this course throughout the year. Increase your strength and fitness level by learning how to use free weights and weight lifting machines safely and effectively in a supportive environment. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and sneakers or solid shoes. This is a live virtual course and will meet via Zoom Meeting. Link will be sent by your instructor via email.
