We offer classes and specialty workshops in a variety of fitness and sports activities, including: Tennis, Swimming, Strength Training, TRX Suspension Training, Restorative Yoga, Ballet, Pilates, and Capoeira.

Group X Instructors

Are you enthusiastic, love fitness, and want to engage with the UC Berkeley community to deliver health and wellness? If so, we would love for you to apply to join our family!


We offer over 100 classes each week featuring yoga, cardio kickboxing, circuit training, studio cycling, yoga, Tai Chi, plus many more. These group exercise classes and workouts are offered FREE to Cal Rec Club members and are designed to include all fitness levels and modes of cardiovascular, muscular, and flexibility conditioning training.

Personal Trainers

Weight Room Staff

Supervise fitness room with weight training and cardiovascular equipment. Orient members to weight room and usage etiquette. Assist members with equipment use and set-up. Answer facility and program-related questions. Open/close facility when needed. Work flexible hours depending on your schedule and availability. Evening, weekends, and holiday shifts available. This is a year-round position for UCB students.

Work Hours:

Part-time: 5-19 hours per week.
