Hurling

The California Hurling Club was established in 2009 and is an active member of the California Collegiate Gaelic Athletic Association (CCGAA) and competes in the National Collegiate Gaelic Athletic Association (NCGAA) National Championship at the end of each season. Na Bearanna, The Bears in Irish, won the CCGAA Championship in 2010 and 2011.

The club begins training in the Fall and competes in the Spring for the CCGAA Championship and NCGAA National Championship. CCGAA matches are held at Treasure Island, Stanford University, and UC Davis. This season the National Championship will be held at Purdue University. The California Hurling Club welcomes players of all skill levels to join. Practices are held twice during the week. Equipment is provided for new members.
