Rapelling Classes

 

Learn the basics of safely descending a fixed rope in our half-day class. Rappelling is an essential skill for self-rescue, and for multi-pitch climbs. Course curriculum includes: basic rappel technique, proper hand and body positioning, how to negotiate the edge, backing up a rappel, and providing a bottom belay for partner safety.

Location

This class will take place at a local climbing park. Students are responsible for getting themselves to the site by 1:00PM each day. Please note that this is a public park and may not have restrooms available. Locations are subject to change due to weather conditions and resource availability at each site. Students will be contacted ahead of time if any changes are made.
