Membership Fee Increase for Non Students


Starting on September 1, 2013, the cost of Cal Rec Club membership for all
non UC Berkeley student membership types will increase by $3 per month. If you have a membership contract that expires after September 1, you will continue to pay the amount indicated in your contract until your contact expires.

The increase is necessary as we have not increased prices in several years, although the costs of running our programs and facilities have risen.

Faculty & Staff
Monthly: from $35 to $38
Semester: from $185 to $195
Annual: from $420 to $456

Cal Emeriti/Retiree
Annual: from $296 to $332

Affiliate Members (includes Alumni)
Initiation: from $50 to $53
Monthly: from $54 to $57
Annual: from $648 to $684

Associated Students
Semester: from $140 to $150

Community Members*
Initiation: from $65 to $68
Monthly: from $62 to $65
Annual: from $744 to $780

*There will be no increase for short term Community Memberships (one month and three month), Day Passes, or Cal Star Memberships.


The cost of lockers will not increase.
